After identifying a large number of internet users that were unhappy with their online web browsing experience, because of negatively disruptive ads and promotional offers. With this in mind, I proceeded to find the source of these types of adverts and pinpointed the target as the medium to small businesses with basically no knowledge of online advertising or digital marketing.
These businesses, try to reach a maximum amount of people by bombarding websites with popups and unattractive proposals by having as much ads out there as possible, figuring that someone somewhere will click one sometime, (even if they're just trying to close it). Even though this does generate quite a lot of impressions; the truth is, this isn't really effective for businesses and it causes quite a negative impact on the consumer.
After analyzing the consumers and the publishers of these ads, I decided the best course to aide the problem was to create a guideline for businesses to understand the needs of the public they are trying to reach and have a step-by-step process on how to create more effective online interactions.
